Annual Staff Conference

Our team are whisked away for a special annual conference that runs over three full days. This major event is jam packed with staff celebration, fun and learning. We believe that our conferences set the tone for the year ahead and have been held in exciting locations like Queenstown, Hanmer Springs, Samoa and most recently in 2019, Fiji!


Refueling Day
In addition to our annual conference, we hold a mid-year event, spending the day sharing, (more) learning and celebrating our achievements! Our staff are pivotal to company prosperity, so our mid-winter Refueling day leaves everyone feeling rejuvenated and refocused on the year’s remaining goals.

Famils & Study Tours
There are opportunities to travel domestically and abroad with NZST and our trainers take students’ on domestic famils and exciting study tours such as Queenstown and the Hobbiton.

Professional Development
Staff receive effective Professional Development Plans, strategically laid out over a four-year period which provide the opportunity to complete an ‘Adult Teaching Qualification’, followed by an ‘Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education Qualification’ (both offered by New Zealand School of Tourism).

As staff progress through their Personal Development Plan, they acquire the tools needed to inspire the next generation of industry professionals (our students). They also increase in salary-level, working towards a “Graduate” salary level.

Leadership Development Programme
If you aspire to a leadership role, then this is a life changing programme available for staff. This unique programme is designed to develop capability and progress into a leadership role within our organisation.
